Snow Days

We are hibernating and planning our planting season for this new year. Our latest endeavors include shoveling out the high tunnels each time it we get a significant snow. It’s a family project with all hands involved. If we get lazy, the snow turns into ice and we have to chop it apart into blocks to remove it from the sides of the tunnel. The small fries made an igloo last year from the ice blocks when we missed some shoveling days and the snow turned into ice.

This is our view from our side of the street. Red barn in the snow is a classic scene for a painting. If I were clever enough to retouch, I would remove the power line and provide you with a perfect shot.
